I've always been fond of Scandinavian design and anyone who's following our Pinterest boards will know that a lot of what we post revolves around Nordic design! I can't go past the black and white prints and the beautifully white and airy interiors with pops of colours mixed with neutrals, not to mention a good fika - which we were introduced to by our lovely Swedish friend! I recently starting reading Mr Wolf - an amazing magazine full of Nordic design (to die for!), styling, articles, art and music. I definitely recommend it for any other Nordic lovers and interior design addicts alike!
The branding for Watsons Bay Beach Club will always remain one of my most favourites. I love everything about it from the pastel/mint brand colour to the pineapples and relaxed atmosphere. The space screams cocktails, fish and chips and everything I love about Summer. Whilst the weather has cooled down significantly over the past week, it's definitely got me dreaming of somewhere tropical!
It has been absolutely manic for us lately but we've been up to some pretty fun stuff.
ONE We took a quick weekend trip to Adelaide where we enjoyed a night out on Rundle St and then an afternoon in the hills. The trip went for a bit longer than expected when we missed our flight home on Sunday evening. Fortunately, we were able to catch the next flight out on Monday morning, but it meant a 5am start which left my better half none too pleased.
TWO Finally managed to go visit Jamie's Italian on Pitt St! We have both loved Jamie Oliver ever since we discovered his 30 Minute Meals episodes - we used to sit and watch multiple episodes in one sitting then would get all inspired and try to cook what we'd just watched. He's really what got us into cooking. We have been meaning to visit Jamie's Italian since it opened and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed three types of pasta and some nice wine to wash it all down. Highly recommend it if you haven't been!
THREE Our recent engagement has seen us travelling all over Sydney to find an outdoor venue for our wedding ceremony. We're loving some venues in Vaucluse at the moment - the surroundings are beautiful full of lots of greenery and the water close by.
FOUR It was Rach's birthday a couple of Thursdays ago! We enjoyed celebrating at the lovely Burnt Orange in Mosman and what's a birthday without some tasty treats. Macaroons make any day a good day.
Ever visited a store and wanted to buy absolutely everything in it? This is how I felt when I visited Light Rust Studio. Perhaps it's my love for hand lettering and typography, but there is a beauty in handcrafted and illustrated works that has always caught my attention.
